Audley Harrison won his Super-Heavy Weight bout against Mukhtarkhan Dildabekov, it was GBs first Gold at the Olympics for 32 years.

Redgrave Rules Rowing!!
Steve Redgrave won his 5th Gold Medal in a row. He won the best race of the Olympics by 0.38 seconds beating Italy who nearly caught them. The team had two new members, they were Tim Foster and James Cracknell. Foster was due to race in Atlanta in 1996 but had to pull out due to injury. After the race Redgrave anounced his retirement from rowing and was presented with a Gold Pin by IOCC President Juan Antonio Samaranch. Meanwhile the Mens Eights also won the Gold pipping the Aussies at the line
